The team, led by Riau Ega Agata Salsabila and accompanied by five coaches and officials, will compete in the men's and women's recurve and compound divisions.
"We just arrived in South Korea, still on the bus to Gwangju," said Abdul Razak, deputy chairman II for Development and Achievement of the Indonesian Archery Association (PB Perpani), to ANTARA via text message from Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to PB Perpani Chairman Arsjad Rasjid, this event is more than just a competition.
"This is the final series of world championships in 2025, and it provides momentum for our team to prepare for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, where Indonesian archery is targeted to become the overall champion," he said in a video uploaded to the federation's official social media account, Wednesday.
He added that the championship is also a crucial first step in their long-term efforts to compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
The Indonesian archery team was unable to participate in the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia because archery was not included in the list of sports for that event.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Indonesia’s archery team competed in the recurve division with four athletes—one male and three female.
While no medals were secured, standout performances included Diananda Choirunisa reaching the quarterfinals in the women’s individual event.
The mixed team and other individual entries were eliminated in early rounds.
