“The commemoration of Maulid Nabi is not merely a moment to remember the birth of the Prophet, but also a moment to emulate his noble character,” Prabowo said in a message posted on his official Instagram account.
He conveyed greetings to Muslims across the country and said the Prophet’s life should serve as a reminder of his message of mercy for the entire universe.
Prabowo stressed the importance of using the Prophet’s example as guidance in doing good deeds, strengthening cooperation, promoting unity and building a just and prosperous Indonesia.

“Let us continue to spread mercy and brotherhood across our beloved Indonesia,” he said.
On Thursday evening, the president attended the state-level commemoration of Maulid Nabi at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
He wore a white traditional Muslim shirt and black kopiah cap, while Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka joined him in batik attire and a cap.
During the ceremony, Prabowo sat cross-legged between Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
The commemoration featured Quran recitations and chanting, followed by istighasah (prayers for help), collective prayers and a national zikir remembrance of God.
