“The government continues to promote regional commodity trade, including through business matching events in various locations,” Esti said during a visit to Lampung.
She added that by 2025, the number of business matchings is expected to surpass 400, helping more businesses, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), reach global markets.
“We continue to assist MSMEs that need support in market expansion, aligning them with opportunities abroad,” she said.
Esti emphasized that the Ministry’s “MSMEs Can Export” program remains a key focus in strengthening economic growth through trade.

“While we prioritize international trade, we’re also actively supporting MSMEs, which are a backbone of the economy, in developing their export capacity,” she added.
In response, House of Representatives member Rycko Menoza noted that the current economic conditions remain challenging, requiring renewed efforts to enhance the value of regional commodities.
He stressed that developing local trade potential could significantly impact both regional development and national foreign exchange reserves.
“By strengthening trade in regional products, we can lift local economies and increase our global trade footprint,” Menoza said.
He called for strategic efforts to position Lampung as a national and international hub for regional commodities.
“Our goal must be clear—making Lampung a leading region for regional products and trade, which will ultimately contribute to national economic growth,” he said.
The government’s efforts to align MSMEs with export markets reflect broader initiatives to diversify Indonesia’s trade portfolio and support sustainable economic recovery across regions.
