He expressed hope that the annual discount event would help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) boost their sales performance.
“We aim to see improved results in this year’s Harbolnas, particularly for local products. Our target is for more than 50 percent of Harbolnas transactions in 2025 to come from domestic goods,” Adrianto stated here on Monday.
At the "Road to Harbolnas 2025" press conference held at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office, he explained that in addition to promoting local product dominance, the total transaction value of Harbolnas 2025 is projected to reach Rp35 trillion, or around US$2.1 billion.
The projected figure represents an increase of 12.2 percent compared to the Rp31.2 trillion recorded in 2024.
To achieve this, idEA and several e-commerce platforms will run a series of pre-Harbolnas activities from September to December. These programs aim to prepare businesses, particularly MSMEs, for the expected surge in demand.
“We hope the Road to Harbolnas starting this September will allow for better preparation both for the businesses and the platforms so the MSMEs are ready to boost promotion and ensure product availability,” Adrianto added.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto also urged organizers to increase the proportion of local products in Harbolnas transactions.
He noted that in 2024, over 30 percent of Harbolnas purchases were Indonesian-made and expected that this figure will be surpassed in 2025.
He also called for greater discounts, both online and offline at shopping centers, to drive consumer spending and promote local products.
