During a visit to Margaguna 10th Senior High People’s School in South Jakarta, Prabowo said the program provides “a real solution” for underprivileged children who left school because of financial hardship.
“Children who have dropped out can return to the classroom. Those who once felt inferior because of family struggles are welcomed into an environment where they can grow confident and receive quality education,” he said.
President Prabowo said the program is not just an aspiration but a concrete step to ensure equal access to quality education.
“We don’t just sit back and hope things improve naturally. We act,” he said.

The People’s School Program is one of the administration’s flagship initiatives, designed as a comprehensive education hub. It provides classrooms and learning facilities along with free health checks, nutritious meals, health insurance, a cooperative network, and support from the housing development program.
The president has set a target of building 500 People’s Schools nationwide, with 100 already completed.
The schools aim to serve as holistic environments that raise living standards for children from disadvantaged families.
Each facility is equipped with modern classrooms, digital smart boards, and interactive animated lessons accessible on personal devices.
They also provide dormitories, with two to three students per room, each equipped with a private bathroom.
Officials say the schools are intended to become integrated hubs for poverty reduction, combining education, healthcare, nutrition, and economic empowerment in a single model.
