On Friday, he opened the 2025 Indonesia Design Week (IDW) in Jakarta, describing it as a crucial platform to showcase the creativity of designers, architects, and other creative professionals.
He noted that the event also helps strengthen the capacity of creators and boost the competitiveness of Indonesia's creative industry, particularly in the sub-sectors of product design, architecture, and lifestyle, through a series of innovative and collaborative activities.
IDW 2025 features exhibitions, workshops, talk shows, product launches, and professional networking sessions for both the creative community and the wider public.
Harsya said government and private sector support for the event allows designers and creators to collaborate, expand market access, and promote impactful innovation.
Indonesia Design District (IDD) CEO Ipeng Widjojo added that IDW provides a tangible platform to foster creativity and synergy, as it showcases a variety of designs that connect local culture with the global stage.
Through IDW 2025, he said, creators have the opportunity to strengthen their capacity, broaden their networks, and present innovative works.
The event is scheduled to run until September 20.
