“I think the main points were all conveyed,” Sugiono told reporters during a press briefing in New York.
He explained that each head of state was allotted five minutes to speak, and microphones automatically shut off once that limit is reached.
Prabowo exceeded the time slightly, causing the microphone to cut off near the end of his remarks.
Sugiono stressed that the time limit applies equally to all delegations, with the exception of France, which was given more time during the opening session.
He added that the final part of Prabowo’s speech was still audible to the audience and that all key points were successfully communicated.
“I believe all the messages were delivered,” he said.

Prabowo was speaking at the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and Implementation of the Two-State Solution.
As his microphone cut out in the final minutes, Prabowo raised his voice to complete his statement.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reportedly faced a similar issue during his speech at the same event.
Turkey’s Communications Directorate later clarified that the microphone cutoff was due to the standard five-minute rule.
In his speech, Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for Palestinian independence and voiced deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
He condemned violence against civilians, especially women and children, as well as the threat of famine and the broader humanitarian disaster.
He also expressed Indonesia’s readiness to contribute to peace efforts, including the possible deployment of peacekeeping forces.
