The raids, conducted across North Sumatra and Aceh, also uncovered ecstasy, cocaine, and marijuana.
BNN Chief Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto said the seizures potentially saved 7.8 million lives from drug abuse.
"This is the result of strong collaboration between law enforcement agencies, from preventive to repressive actions, avoiding financial losses of up to IDR 2.65 trillion (USD170 million)," Suyudi told reporters in Medan on Friday.
He added the success reflects the effectiveness of integrated operations supporting Indonesia’s national anti-narcotics strategy (P4GN).
North Sumatra Police recorded 4,749 cases involving 6,004 suspects across the province during the same period.
"This is proof of our relentless war on drugs. It's a shared responsibility that goes beyond borders," Suyudi said.
He emphasized that the cooperation between agencies is not just a slogan but a concrete operational alliance on the ground.
"This synergy proves the state's full presence in protecting every inch of the homeland and every citizen from the growing threat of drug syndicates," he added.
Indonesia enforces some of the strictest drug laws globally, with trafficking offenses carrying severe penalties, including death.
Authorities have intensified anti-drug efforts in recent years, particularly in regions vulnerable to trafficking from neighboring countries.
The BNN said more joint operations are planned as part of a broader crackdown targeting international and domestic drug networks.
Despite Indonesia’s strict drug laws, which impose long prison terms or even the death penalty, domestic and international drug networks continue to thrive.
The illegal drug trade is estimated to be worth nearly Rp66 trillion, and drug abuse cuts across all social and professional backgrounds.
