“First, in accordance with the direction of the ESDM Minister and the House of Representatives (DPR), we will continue the collaboration between the private sector and Pertamina in 2025,” said an official of the ESDM Ministry, Laode Sulaeman, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the ministry will review its non-subsidized fuel regulations in 2026.
"As a government institution, we must also pay attention to a single commodity balance," he added.
Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga stated that PT Vivo Energy Indonesia (Vivo) and PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR)-AKR Corporation (the operator of BP gas stations) agreed to follow up the fuel import cooperation with more technical discussions.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Robert MV Dumatubun said the next step in the fuel import cooperation discussions is an agreement on a declaration document to maintain Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and comply with regulations, such as those concerning antitrust, money laundering, and bribery.
In addition, the private gas station management will submit the required commodity requirements and discuss agreements regarding product specification, key terms, and general terms and conditions.
If the private company agrees, he added, the procurement process for the commodities will be carried out through an auction system.
The winning bidder will be announced to the private sector regarding the cargo provider, the best price, and the cargo volume.
After reaching an agreement with the private sector regarding the winning bidder, commercial aspects and joint inspections will be discussed.
"The final step is the delivery of the agreed-upon cargo, which will take place around the third week of October," Dumatubun said.
He emphasized that the process is in accordance with the agreement of the private sector entities, as the cargo shipments are being delivered in the same procurement process and not separately.
