However, he did not specify how many of the approximately 80 thousand village cooperatives nationwide are expected to benefit from the initiative this year.
“If possible, we aim to cover all of them,” Juliantono told reporters after the Monthly Economic Diplomacy Breakfast organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) here on Friday.
The minister emphasized that building and opening outlets and warehouses is crucial for the effective implementation of the program, noting that President Prabowo Subianto requires all cooperatives to be equipped with these facilities.
Juliantono outlined that KDMPs must operate at least seven key facilities, grocery stores, pharmacies, clinics, management offices, savings and loan service outlets, warehouses, and logistics infrastructure.
Earlier, the government issued a joint cross-institution decree affirming its commitment to fast-track the physical construction and operationalization of outlets and warehouses for Red and White Village Cooperatives.
Signed in Jakarta on Thursday (October 9), the decree aligns the objectives and actions of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Ministry of Finance, and the Danantara Investment Management Agency.
On the same day, Finance Ministry’s Director General of Fiscal Balance, Askolani, confirmed that the development of KDMP facilities would be financed through the State Budget (APBN).
“To support this agenda, we will allocate a portion of the APBN,” he said, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to advancing the KDMP program.
Meanwhile, Danantara CEO Rosan Perkasa Roeslani explained that a state-owned enterprise will coordinate the infrastructure development of village cooperatives, with financial backing from the Ministry of Finance.
President Prabowo simultaneously inaugurated around 80 thousand village cooperatives nationwide in Klaten, Central Java, on July 21. However, not all cooperatives began operations immediately.
Data from merahputih.kop.id shows that over 11,225 KDMPs have at least one operational outlet, with a total of nearly 16 thousand outlets already active.
