According to him, the roadmap draft is now in the finalization stage, alongside the presidential regulation on AI development, utilization, security, and safety. Both documents are targeted for release this year.
Patria said the preparation of the AI roadmap involved input from a wide range of stakeholders. The drafting process included 21 discussion sessions attended by more than 400 participants.
"We have tried to accommodate all the aspirations expressed by stakeholders," he said.
Patria has earlier highlighted that the AI roadmap focuses on four things to ensure inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable AI development.
The first is strengthening the participation of all stakeholders in creating an inclusive AI ecosystem.
The second focus is on mitigating risks from the use of AI, such as misinformation and other negative consequences.
Furthermore, the third focus is on developing innovation to strengthen all business processes in the development and adoption of AI technology, while the fourth is on enhancing AI development innovation and research capacity.
The Indonesian government has determined five priority sectors for AI development, which are health, digital talent education, bureaucratic reform, smart city development, and food security, to ensure that digital transformation promotes fairness and people’s welfare.
