Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's social aid distribution for the fourth quarter of 2025 is running smoothly with no major disruptions, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf said on Thursday, highlighting steady progress in reaching millions of families.

Saifullah said more than 14 million beneficiary families have so far received assistance through the staple food program and the Family Hope Program (PKH).

"The remaining distributions are still in process and will definitely be delivered," he said.

Regular social assistance covers two schemes — PKH and non-cash food aid — targeting over 18 million beneficiary families nationwide.

Data from the Social Affairs Ministry show that around 390,000 families receive PKH, over 8.6 million receive staple food aid, and about 9.6 million benefit from both programs.

Around 700,000 families collect their aid at post offices, while the rest receive it through state-owned banks.

Saifullah noted that regular aid differs from the Temporary Direct Cash Assistance (BLTS) Kesra program, scheduled from October to December 2025. Each recipient will receive Rp300,000 (about US$18) per month under the BLTS scheme.

The BLTS program targets low-income households in deciles 1–4, reaching more than 35 million families, or roughly 140 million people.

Based on National Socioeconomic Data (DSEN), deciles 1 to 4 represent the lowest 40 percent of Indonesia's population in terms of welfare — the government's main focus in poverty reduction efforts.

Saifullah said BLTS distribution has not started yet as the ministry is synchronizing and verifying beneficiary data with the Finance Ministry.

Despite the pending process, he stressed that all social aid programs are being disbursed in phases and under close supervision to ensure transparency and accountability.
