He demonstrated the program’s benefits by undergoing several health checks, including a dental examination, during a visit to a community health center in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Friday, the Vice Presidential Secretariat said.
During the visit, Gibran also greeted patients and health workers, encouraging the public to make full use of available medical services at local health centers.
Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono said the vice president’s visit could inspire more residents to participate in the CKG program, which promotes preventive healthcare awareness.
Harbuwono highlighted that the government had recently expanded access by removing a rule that previously limited participation to residents on their birthdays.

“Initially, the program was only available to those celebrating their birthday. Now, people can get free health checks anytime,” he said.
He added that Gibran had reinforced the government’s commitment to widening basic health services nationwide.
“Mr. Vice President has instructed us to expand capacity so that people across Indonesia can access health screenings,” Harbuwono said.
The deputy minister noted that the CKG program had already served 47 million of the 51 million registered residents.
“The target is to screen 50 million people this year, with up to 600,000 residents served daily,” he said, expressing confidence the goal would be exceeded.
He also said the government plans to extend the program next year beyond health centers and schools to offices, houses of worship, and other community locations.
“Our broader goal is for the CKG program to cover all Indonesian citizens within five years,” Harbuwono concluded, emphasizing the government’s long-term commitment to preventive healthcare.
