Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy and Ministry of Health launched a free health check program (CKG) for creative economy workers, blending medical screenings with interactive elements from local IP “Halo Miyu,” officials said.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar, in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, said the initiative shows creativity can help expand health education, especially for young professionals and creative communities.
The three-day program, held Dec. 1-3, drew nearly 500 participants, including ministry staff, creative talents, retail and culinary workers, and walk-in visitors.
Screenings included height, weight, waist circumference, blood sugar, blood pressure, eye, ear and dental checks, HPV DNA tests, and consultations with doctors, supported by local healthcare personnel.
Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono praised the collaboration for making preventive health services more engaging and inclusive through creative communication.
The program also featured themed merchandise and visual storytelling from Halo Miyu to enhance participant experience.
Head of the Health Development Policy Agency, Asnawi Abdullah, highlighted the benefits of early detection in preventing serious illness, reducing treatment costs, and sustaining productivity.
Officials said the initiative could serve as a cross-sector model for integrating health promotion with creative industry outreach to build a healthier and more innovative society.
