PMI Chairman Jusuf Kalla said here on Thursday that the aid covers various basic needs, from textbooks, stationery, and school backpacks to cleaning and rehabilitation equipment.
This logistical aid is scheduled to begin being sent in the near future.
"Children have started school. So, we've prepared educational supplies, such as 1.5 million notebooks and 20,000 school kits," said Jusuf Kalla after inspecting the PMI Logistics Warehouse, here on Thursday.
Besides educational equipment, PMI also prepared cleaning tools to support the post-disaster rehabilitation process.
The aid includes hoes, cleaning equipment, and other supplies needed to clean affected homes and environments.
"Some of this aid is for emergency response, but more is focused on rehabilitation," he said.
PMI also prepared water tanks, which include 60 units for providing clean water and 30 units specifically for cleaning.
He stated that all aid was planned to be dispatched on Saturday, January 3, 2026, using the Kalla Lines ship.
PMI will continue to ensure that aid distribution is timely and meets the needs of disaster-affected communities, particularly to support recovery and the sustainability of educational activities.
