The target was conveyed by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi after attending a cabinet retreat in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday.
Prasetyo said the bridge construction has drawn President Prabowo Subianto’s attention as it concerns basic public access, including routes used by children to reach schools.
He noted that 11 suspension bridges have been completed so far, while another 50 are still under construction and will continue to be pursued until 2026.
Beyond infrastructure development, Prasetyo said the government also presented updates on the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program during the retreat.
The program has reached around 55 million beneficiaries and is targeted to serve up to 82.9 million recipients by 2026 through approximately 35,000 kitchens.
