Samarinda, Kaltim (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority has announced that five additional investors have joined the development of the new capital city, operating across various sectors, including culinary businesses, sports facilities and infrastructure, commerce, and private offices.

The five investors are PT Bahagia Bangunnusa, PT Rangga Ekapratama, PT Fajar Maju Berkarya Gilang, PT Batara Maduma Prospernusa, and PT Haidir Griya Karya.

“The presence of these additional projects is expected to stimulate economic activity and create employment opportunities in Nusantara,” Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono said in Nusantara on Saturday.

He expressed appreciation for the investors’ confidence in supporting the development of the new capital, noting that it reflects the government’s commitment to building Nusantara as a city for the world.

The five investors signed seven land use and land allocation agreements for assets under the authority’s management, along with a notarial deed, at the IKN Authority City Hall on Friday (January 9).

With the addition of these investors, the total number of private-sector investors that have signed development cooperation agreements in Nusantara has reached 50, with a combined investment value of Rp66 trillion, or approximately US$3.9 billion.

The investments from the 50 investors are grouped into five clusters, commercial, banking, warehousing, education and healthcare, and residential.

Within the residential cluster, a project developed by PT Pakubuwono Mandiri Investama is planned to construct residential apartments for embassy staff. Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2026, with completion targeted for July 2028.

Deputy for Funding and Investment at the IKN Authority, Sudiro Roi Santoso added that several projects from the five new investors are expected to commence in mid-2026.

“Most of the seven cooperation agreements are scheduled to begin construction around mid-2026. Businesses are currently preparing for the agreement finalization and licensing stages,” Santoso said.
