The two ASEAN Para Games records were broken by Jendi Pangabean from the Men's 50m Butterfly S9 and Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay S1-S10 team.
Pangabean clocked 28.82 seconds, breaking the previous record of 29.77 seconds that he himself had set.
The Indonesian men’s relay team—comprising Abdil Majid Rahman, Zaki Zulkarnain, Rino Saputra, and Jendi Pangabean—broke the Games record with a time of 4:17.08. This achievement surpassed the previous Games record of 4:20.20, which was also held by Indonesia.
The seven gold medals in para-swimming were secured by:
- Jendi Pangabean: Men's 50m Butterfly S9 (28.82 seconds) and Men's 200m Individual Medley SM9 (2:36.33).
- Januari: Men's 50m Freestyle S5 (33.74 seconds).
- Siti Aisyah: Women's 200m Backstroke S14 (2:40.16).
- Siti Alfiah: Women's 50m Freestyle S6 (41.04 seconds).
- Zaki Zulkarnain: Men's 100m Breaststroke SB9 (1:18.93).
- Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay team (S1-S10): (4:17.08).
With these medals, Indonesia’s para-swimming team has so far collected a total of 22 gold, 29 silver, and 17 bronze medals.
The para-swimming team is currently the second-highest medal contributor for Indonesia at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games, following para-athletics, which has bagged 28 gold, 31 silver, and 15 bronze medals.
At the time of reporting, overall, Indonesia has bagged 86 gold, 93 silver, and 76 bronze medals.
