"I often say that digitalization is important. For example, through social media. This way, people outside the region know, and even people abroad, that our products or work are interesting," said the minister.
He made the statement while receiving an audience with the Regent of Tanggamus, Lampung, Moh. Saleh Asnawi, at his residence, here on Wednesday.
The minister said creative digital content would automatically increase trust and brand recognition, even for small businesses.
The minister also emphasized that synergy between the central and regional governments is crucial for accelerating strategic projects, fulfilling infrastructure needs, and maximizing regional economic targets.
Through direct audiences and coordination, the regent can encourage the needs of his region to receive priority from the relevant ministries, especially in funding and technical support.
"I've also heard his speeches several times on social media, including TikTok. His vision and mission are excellent, and I think we should support a regent like him. Marketing is paramount in building infrastructure," the minister said.
Specifically, Susanto also asked the Tanggamus Regent to begin preparing and identifying accurate data regarding the potential in each village, including agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
This, he said, would help the central government, including facilitating the formulation of targeted and sustainable development policies and regulations.
"Perhaps they have data related to thematic villages, tourism villages, and horticultural villages. At the ministry, we also have a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) export village program," he said.
"Perhaps, from that data, we can determine which villages we can prioritize for assistance," he added.
