These two regimes that used to support Husni Mubarak till a short while ago are now after fast regime change there!
Tehran (ANTARA News/IRNA-OANA) - Middle East affairs analyst and Managing Editor of Al-Wifaq Arab language daily said here Wednesday highly sensitive ongoing Egypt developments must be observed carefully.

Mosayyeb Na'imi added in an exclusive interview with IRNA, "All encompassing movement of the Egyptian people and the developments in that country have reached a new sensitive and critical point as of he moment that (President Husni) Mubarak announced he would not step down from the power throne till the very end of his tenure, having turned the situation too tense."

He added, "By dispatching intelligence forces in plain clothes to the streets and attacking the peaceful demonstrators, Mubarak has killed and injured over 500 Egyptians only in Tahrir Square on Wednesday alone, and this would create a new situation in Egypt as of Thursday."

Al-Wifaq daily managing editor pointed out that the Wednesday developments would enrage the people and despite the cold weather in most Egyptian cities, the protestors have already announced that the Friday rally would be more spectacular and that such demonstrations would go on till ousting Mubarak's despotic regime, stressing that no one would go home till then!"

Na'imi reiterated the sensitivities of the Zionist regime and the United States about the way that the Egyptian dictator would be toppled in the sensitive and strategic region, adding, "The United States and the Zionist regime are seriously worried about Mubarak's regime and are pursuing the developments in Egypt carefully, lest the unfavorable aftermaths of the events there would be imposed on the region as well."

He added, "These two regimes that used to support Husni Mubarak till a short while ago are now after fast regime change there!"

The Middle East affairs analyst reiterated, "The current situation in Egypt is sensitive and vulnerable and in this popular movement the people are really the pioneers, while the political elites, the political parties and the personalities follow them."

Na'imi said that the Egyptians and the politicians have a shared point regarding Egypt and that is the need for Mubark's fast step down from power, adding, "Incidentally, that is also what the people and the foreign powers are asking for." (*)
