Atambua, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono aboard KRI Slamet Riyadi warship left Atambua for Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara province on Friday morning.

The president was in Atambua bordering Timor Leste to visit the Setya Yudha Bakti Battalion 744 of which he was formerly commander.

It takes 7 hours to reach the East Nusa Tenggara provincial capital from Atambua by sea.

From Kupang the president and entourage will later return home to Jakarta on that day to end his four-day working visit in the province since Tuesday (Feb 8).

Earlier, the president during his stay in Kupang attended the commemoration of the national press day and gave directives to the ranks and files of the East Nusa Tenggara provincial government.

The president left for Atambua on Wednesday by land. He spent the night at SoE, capital of Timor Tengah Selatan district and later proceeded his journey to Atambua.

While in Atambua, the president spent the night at the command station of the Setya Yudha Bakti Battalion 744.
