I will make every effort to have financial assistance provided to the remaining students
Cairo (ANTARA News) - Indonesian students in Egypt were worried about their safety and security in the conflict-ravaged country.

The students lodged their complaint to the chairman of task force evacuation of Indonesian citizens in Egypt, Nur Hassan Wirayuda, at a meeting in Cairo on Thursday evening.

"The remaining Indonesian students who have yet to be evacuated deeply worry for their safety. Therefore we want to be made certain if there is still another evacuation plane for us," asked Egypt`s Indonesian Students Association (PPMI) Falahuddin Narasalim.

In response to Falahuddin`s question, Nur Hassan Wirayuda said the task force would make an evaluation after the sixth group of flight before making a decision.

Wirayuda, the former Indonesian foreign affairs minister, said the evacuation of Indonesian citizens in Egypt was made with the priority scale for children, women, and displaced citizens.

Although around 2,600 Indonesian citizens in Egypt have been evacuated, there are more than 1,000 remaining students who yearned for immediate evacuation to Indonesia.

Wirayuda also promised the remaining Indonesian students in Egypt that he would make every effort to provide them with financial assistance.

"I will make every effort to have financial assistance provided to the remaining students," Wirayuda said, at a meeting with the students.
