Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned Bank BNI has for the second time received the "Most Best Remittance Provider of the Year in South East Asia" award from Alpha South East Asia.

Alpha SouthEast Asia CEO Siddiq Bazarwala presented the award to BNI Treasury and Financial Institution Director Adi Setianto in Singapore on Tuesday, the bank said in a press statement on Tuesday.

The award was a form of Alpha SouthEast Asia`s recognition of the bank`s accelerated remittance services through BNI Smart Remittance, it said.

Adi said BNI Smart Remittance was the bank`s key service because it was supported by broad international networks and collaboration with other agencies.

BNI now has five overseas branches in the world`s major cities, namely London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York, not to mention Orchard Remittance Center in Singapore, a subsidiary of BNI Remittance Limited (BRL) in Hong Kong with 4 outlets and several remittance representatives in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Malaysia.

"BNI is also planning to open another remittance representatives in South Korea, Australia and The Netherlands," he said.

BNI now has a total of 1,200 outlets and branches and 5,025 ATMs all over Indonesia. (*)
