Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - Three political parties look set to join the Reform Star Party (PBR) in allying with the Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party in the 2014 general elections.

"Three parties have held mature talks with us," Gerindra patron Prabowo Soebianto said here on Sunday.

But he stopped short of revealing the names of the parties.

"It (the deal) is still under discussion. It is unethical to mention the three political parties," he said after seeing off the participants of a fun bike marking the party`s third anniversary here.

PBR affiliated to Gerinda as a wing organization after it had transformed itself into a mass organization.

With PBR affiliating to Gerindra, seven political parties have allied with Gerindra so far.

The six parties that have earlier allied with Gerindra are Freedom Party, Labor Party, Indonesian Nahdlatul Community Party (PPNUI), Indonesian National Party Marhaenism, Sovereignty Party, and Indonesian Unity Party (PSI).

Prabowo, the running mate of presidential candidate Megawati Soekarnoputri in the 2009 presidential election said Gerindra had set itself the target of garnering 10-12 votes in the 2014 general elections.

"The target is realistic, but to achieve it, it depends on cadres` work," he said.
