Gaza City, Palestine (ANTARA News/AFP) - Israeli war planes bombed two Islamic Jihad training camps in the Gaza Strip early Saturday, Palestinian sources said. There were no casualties reported.

The jets hit two sites, one in the southern town of Khan Yunis and another near Nusseirat in the centre of the Hamas-ruled strip, security officials said.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

The air raids took place after tensions rose along the Gaza border this week following clashes and a rocket attack on the Israeli city of Beersheva that hit a house, but caused no casualties.

It was the first rocket to strike Beersheva since the devastating 2008-2009 Gaza war, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to warn Gaza militants not to "test" Israel.
