Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Golkar politician Agung Laksono concurrently coordinating minister for people`s welfare, has said his party remains consistent with the decision of its national congress held in Pekan Baru in October 2009 to coalesce with the government.

Golkar Chairman Aburizal Bakrie was given the mandate, he said adding that the party was consistent with the coalition.

The party was also committed to implementing the agreement on the coalition, he said.

According to Agung, Aburizal had also asked all Golkar cadres both in the executive and legislative, to help create a conducive political climate.

Regarding the recent statement of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to review the coalition, he said Aburizal planned to meet Yudhoyono.

On a possible reshuffle, he said it would be up to the president.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was on Thursday reported to be communicating with the leaders of political parties outside the government coalition.

His spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said on Thursday (March 3), "The President is conducting the communication to maintain his relations with the leaders of the parties within as well as outside the coalition," Julian said at the presidential office here Thursday.

So, he said, the communication was done not only with leaders of the six political parties in the coalition but also with those from other parties.

"I cannot say in detail what has been conveyed as it was more about how to make the communication more effective and running," he said.

He said the political communication that was being done certainly would determine if formation of the coalition would change leading to a cabinet reshuffle.(*)
