Manado, N Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Embassy in Germany has invited North Sulawesi Governor SH Sarundajang to take part in a business meeting to be held in Berlin on April 6 as part of efforts to explore economic cooperation.

Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Eddy Pratomo extended the invitation at a meeting with Governor Sarundajang as part of a two-day visit in the province which ended on Saturday.

At the meeting, the Indonesian ambassador also brought a number of German investors including Robert Oefner of China Business Group, Jan Glazky of Fluid Kooperacja S.A and Gerhard Rieder and Nobert Bernatzky of Ribegla S.A.

"I met the North Sulawesi governor especially to ensure that he could participate in the business meeting to be held in Berlin," Pratomo said.

He said the business meeting would serve as a means for the province to promote its natural resource potentials among industrialized countries in Europe.

The participation in the business meeting would also bring closer relations between the North Sulawesi businessmen and their German counterparts, he said.

In response, Governor Sarundajang appreciated the Indonesian embassy in Germany for its contribution to facilitate the inflow of German investment to the province.

The governor said the province`s fishery, plantation and tourism sectors were among those that had good business prospects.(*)
