"Rubber was still Jambi`s main export commodity to several other countries like Singapore, Japan, Australia and the United States," Jambi`s central statistics office chief Dyan Pramono Effendi said here Wednesday.
The latest rubber exports from Jambi took place in January 2011, which were also the highest worth 86.15 million US dollars with a volume of 19.46 million tons.
In the meantime in 2010 natural oil and gas also served as Jambi`s main export commodities reaching 278.98 million US dollars with a volume of 476 million tons, followed by vegetable oils worth 262 million US dollars with a volume of 295 million tons, paper and pulp 95.14 million US dollars with a volume of 124 million tons.
In the meantime, Jambi`s nonoil/gas exports last year reached only 49.89 million US dollars, and areca nut 36.85 million US dollars.
Jambi`s 2010 exports registered as the central bureau of statistics (BPS) reached 1.148 billion US dollars with a total volume of 2.5 billion tons. (*)
