Yordan`s coach Damianus Yordan said here Wednesday with the preparations which he had made for his fighter, he believed Yordan would be able to beat the champion.
"I cannot promise a KO win, but the important thing is that we wanted to snatch the title from the champion," he said.
When asked that he has only three days left before the fight, he said he will use it for light training to maintain his fighter`s fitness and weight.
"We will only do some light exercise at the hotel where we are staying, not in Senayan in Jakarta," said Damianus who also happened to be Yordan`s elder brother.
He added that the referee of the fight will be Raul Caiz Sr of the United States with the assistance of three jurors Francisco Martinez, Stanley Christodoulou, and Pinit Prayadsab.
He said the preparations for the fight were started three months ago. "Daud`s victory over Damian David Marchiano was directly followed by preparations for the title fight against Chris John," he said.
According to data, Daud Yordan had 27 victories (21 with KOs and was beaten only once by Calestino Caballero in their flight in Florida some time ago.
In the meantime, Chris John had 44 victories (22 with KOs) and even against Jose Cheo Rojas of Venezuela and Rocky Juarez of the US.
Chris John had defended his title 13 times against Oscar Leon of Colombia and in an ad-interim fight in Bali, October 2003.
Five of the 13 fights of Chris John were mandatory fights (against Jose Cheo Rojas, Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico, Derrick Gainner of the US, Roinet Caballero of Panama, and Hiroyuki Enoki of Japan).
Eight were choices (Renant Acosta of Panama, Osamu Sato and Zaiki Takemoto of Japan, Jose Cheo Rojas, Tommy Brouwn of Australia, and twice against Rocky Juarez of the US, and Fernando Saucedo of Argentine).(*)
