"There are several parties tha have officially asked the Indonesian embassy in Khartoum to develop this sector by bringing in business for workers in construction, agricultural laborers, the farm sector."Cairo (ANTARA News) - Indonesia will send a total of 120 medical nurses to Sudan to help patients in the country`s various hospitals, an official said.
"At the initial phase, Indonesia will send 120 nurses to Sudan in the near future," said Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan Sujatmiko here Monday.
According to an Indonesian national residing in Sudan, Suaib Tahir, the medical nurse sector in the East African country is at present dominated by Filipinos.
Sujatmiko also said Sudan and Indonesia each had promising export potentials.
Sudanese export potentials consisted of such commodities as crude oil, kosher meat, black seed (black cumin), Arabic gum , and Indonesia`s export potentials consisted of paper, building materials, electronic products, and hospital equipment, agricultural equipment, furniture and heavy-duty equipment.

In an effort to increase the RI-Sudan trade value , the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum would facilitate a visit to Indonesia by Sudanese trade officials and businessmen on April 26 - 29 April, 2011.
During their stay in Indonesia, the Sudanse business delegation would meet related ministries, prospective cooperation partners.
Sujatmiko said that in the near future the embassy would also invite Indonesian businessmen to visit Sudan to explore the local business and investment opportunities.
"During a number of meetings we have held with local economic officials and businessmen requests were made for Indonesia to work on major projects in Sudan and also to invest in large-scale agriculture, sugar industry, leather and tire factory," he said.
