"We see now that Western and the United States investors are eyeing the Asian sports development."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is resolved to help develop sports industry in Indonesia through active and effective communications with national sports industry players, a Kadin official said.

"We see now that Western and the United States investors are eyeing the Asian sports development, and this is a chance for Indonesia to take part in the development of national sports industry," Iman Arif, chairman of Kadin for sports development said here on Tuesday.

He said that therefor in the development of national sports industry in the country Kadin was prepared to offer its assistance, facilitate and pave the way for it.

The Kadin official said that sports development had become of the Kadin`s development programs in the sports field. After all, sports events have been mushrooming which are broadcast by televisions such as ESPN-Star Sports, Formula I and NBA, ATP Tennis.

"We are very responsive to that matters, including the broadcasting rights, sponsorship and merchandising. This constitutes a real impact of investment made by the western countries. That`s why we are determined to help develop Indonesia`s sports industry," he added.
