Misrata, Libya (ANTARA News/AFP) - Forces loyal to Libyan strongman Moamer Kadhafi have been pushed out of rebel-held Misrata but rockets continue to hit Libya`s third city, several rebel sources said on Monday.

"Clashes took place on the western outskirts, but the rest has been cleaned up. There may be some soldiers hiding in the city, afraid of being killed, but there are no groups of soldiers left," one rebel leader said.

Several others agreed that Kadhafi loyalists have been pushed out of the western city after two months of heavy fighting.

An AFP correspondent confirmed that rockets and shells were still crashing into the city sporadically, but there was no indication of any clashes between opposing forces. (*)
