Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Special Detachment 88 anti-terror squad of the National Police arrested seven people suspected to be members of the Pepi Fernando-led terror network in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Wednesday.

"Seven people were detained at Gurah Peukah, Aceh, on April 27, 2011, for possession of explosives," Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, a police spokesman, said in a short text message, here, Thursday.

The police made the arrest following investigation on the Pepi Fernano and Fadil terror network.

The newly nabbed people were identified as J (28) from Bogor, West Java, Mz (35) from Merduati, Banda Aceh, Aceh Province, MINUTE (30) from Muara Dua, Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Md (24) from Aceh Tamiang, MF (33) from Aceh Tamiang, SH (21) from Kuala Simpang, Aceh Provine, and Z.

The police also seized 15 kilograms of sulfur, a tent bag, parachute tent, steel pieces and detonator materials.

The seven terror suspects are currently being held at Aceh Police Office for investigation.

Earlier, the National Police have named 22 suspects belonging to parcel bomb network led by Pepi Fernando.

Pepi was suspected as a master mind of a bomb plot found in a gas pipe line near Christ Cathedral at Summarecon Gading Serpong, Banten Province last week.
