The KPK vice chairman Bibit Samad Riyanto told the press at the presidential office here on Friday that the study review conducted by the KPK about the work system was expected to serve inputs to be heeded by government ministries.
"We reported some system assessments in the meeting with the president among others about the hajj pilgrimage implementation, the management of Muslim endowment funds, management of national roads, management of special allocation of education funds, taxation system, placement and repatriation of migrant workers system, forest planning management, public service observation, immigration services observation and customs service observation," Bibit said.
He hoped the president will assign each related ministry to implement improvements based on the results of the reviews.
Apart from the reviews on such systems, KPK leaders also reported about efforts to prevent corrupt practices such as the Indonesia to monitor program that is the monitoring of roads and infrastructure construction.
In addition, Bibit also reported about the joint mentoring program with the Finance and Development Inspection Agency (BPKP) relating to the development implementation in Papua and West Papua.
According to him, KPK also pays attention to the management of the tax bills withdrawal so as not to be completely used up.
There is a potential of tax bills withdrawal to be used up in 2011 of about Rp50 trillion and another Rp2 trillion in 2010, so we need prevention efforts, Bibit said.
Another prevention effort is to secure a number of budgets such as asset control in some ministries amounting Rp3,5 trillion.
"I cannot specify the ministries with their various assets," Bibit added. (*)
