Palu, C Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - At least eight people were injured in a clash between two groups of people near the Palu municipality-Donggala district borders in Central Sulawesi province early Monday.

All the injured were rushed to nearby public health service post for gunshot wounds and other injuries, a source said.

Police officers from the Central Sulawesi provincial police, Palu city police and Donggala police resort were fielded to the scene to prevent the clash from spreading.

One of the injured was a police officer. He suffered serious injury on his face.

The cause of the clash is still unclear. The clash followed a similar incident the night before.(*)
