"I don`t know about the bill on FSO. I cannot make any comment and answer any question about the financial service authority bill because BI was never invited to discuss it," the BI governor said here on Friday.
The finance minister and the special FSO committee of the DPR resumed discussions on the bill on Thursday after the latest deliberations at the end of last year.
The deliberations on the bill were discontinued at the end of last year due to failure to agree on the structure and authority of the FSO board of commissioners.
Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo in a meeting with the special committee on Thursday tabled a new proposal on the structure of the board of commissioners.
"The four commissioners of the board as proposed by the president should first pass a fit-and-proper test before taking up their post," the finance minister said.
In the special committee meeting, the government and the House agreed to finish the bill before June 10, 2011 through a working group meeting with an extension period of up to the end of the House`s recess period on July 15, 2011.(*)
