The Swedish parliamentary delegation was led by Swedish Parliamentary Chairman Per Westerberg.
They were received by KPK vice chairmen Haryono Umar and M Jasin and other KPK officials and were briefed about the existence, authority and functions of the anti-graft body.
During the one hour meeting, Haryono explained the existence of KPK, its leadership system and authorities in investigating corruption cases.
He said that KPK had the authority to arrest and prosecute corruption suspects and had other functions such as its mission to improve the democratic system and guard the bureaucratic reforms so that all these would run well.
Haryono also explained the anti-graft body`s targets and achievements in arresting corruption suspects within the period 2009 -2010.
The Swedish parliamentary delegations consisted of Johan Pehrson of the Liberal Party, Mehmet Kaplan of the Green Party, Match Odell of the Christian Democrat, Hans Linde of the Left Party, Roger Tiefensee of The Centre Party), Anna Kinberg Batra (Moderate Party), Bjora Soder (Sverigedemokraterna), Kathrin Flossing (Secretary General), Charlotta Rodhe (Deputy Head of Mission), Johannes Andreasson (Second Secretary) dan Sarah Everas Sidibe (Press Secretary).(*)
