Tokyo (ANTARA News) - Visiting Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko here Friday afternoon.

In the company of First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the Indonesian head of state and entourage arrived in Tokyo at 1.10 pm local time on Thursday from Geneva, Switzerland, where the president attended the 100th Conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

President Yudhoyono is in Japan for a state visit at the invitation of the Japanese emperor.

On Friday morning the Indonesian president is scheduled to receive a courtesy call from Japanese Prime Minister/Japinda Chairman Yasuo Fukuda at Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.

After that, the president and entourage will go to the National Graduate Institute for Public Studies (GRIPS) to deliver a presidential lecture before an exclusive interview with two leading Japanese media.

Then, after performing Friday prayers the President will meet Emperor Akihito and receive a courtesy call from Japanese Foreign Minister Takeaki Matsumoto, and have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Naoto Kan.

During the visit, President Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono will on Saturday also inspect a number of locations at Kesennuma area in Miyagi prefecture which had been devastated by a massive earthquake-triggered tsunami on March 11 this year.

In Kesennuma, the president will give an interview with a Japanese TV station.

Later the president and entourage will conclude a series of visits to Switzerland and Japan from June 13 to 18 and leave Sendai airport for Jakarta.

The presidential entourage during the visit include Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Industry Minister MS Hidayat, Cabinet Secretay Dipo Alam, head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Gita Wirjawan, chief of the National Board for Disaster Mitigation (BNPB) Syamsul Maarif, and Ginandjar Kartasasmita.
