The video conference was held at the State Palace here Wednesday at 10 am substituting the President`s schedule to close the event held from June 18 to June 23, 2011.
The event attended by 30 thousand participants comprising fishermen, government representatives, agribusiness players, business people, experts, agricultural and fishery information officers, was opened by Vice President Boediono on June 18, 2011.
Video conference was preceded by a report by chief organizer Winarno Tohir followed by the screening of the 8th national fishermen`s week.
President Yudhoyono was scheduled to give an address in the video conference followed by a dialog under the guidance of Agriculture Minister Suswono.
The event was also attended by ASEAN and Japanese fishermen for an exchange of information on agricultural development in the widest sense of the term.(*)
