Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Constitutional Court chairman Mahfud MD said that no systematic or structured violations of laws had happened in the presidential election in 2009.

"(There were) no structured and systematic (violations)," he said when asked over the issue after the opening of an international symposium on constitutional democratic state at the state palace here on Monday.

He said the 2009 presidential election cases had been processed in the constitutional court and legally examined.

In the examination the court did not find any violation of laws that could greatly affect figures. Therefore he said there had been no massive and structured violations of the law.

He said there had indeed been random and sporadic violations in the election done by several parties in a number of regions. "The violations were random and (they all) did them," he said.

Mahfud reiterated that the random violations did not affect significantly on vote collection in the election and there he assured the legality of the 2009 presidential election.

"I assured 100 percent its legality," he said.
