The vice president would be accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Herawati Boediono, several ministers, and NTB Governor Zainul Majdi, Iswan Rakhmadi, a spokesman of the East Lombok district administration, said here Monday.
Boediono is expected to hold dialogs with a number of Aikmel market`s traders to get first hand information about the traders` problems.
During his stay in East Lombok, the vice president is also scheduled to visit state vocational high school SMKN 1 Selong, and present Corporate Social Responsibility (CS) funds from state banks such as BRI, Bank Mandiri and BNI.
He will also visit a rural maternity clinic at Bagik Papan, Pringgebaya Sub-district, and a tobacco warehouse owned by PT. Sadhana Arifnusa at Montong Baan, Sikur Sub District.
"Hopefully the vice president`s one-day working visit in East Lombok will be beneficial for the progress of East Lombok," Iswan Rahmadi said.
Meanwhile, in Mataram, on Monday (July 11), Vice President Boediono the Mataram general hospital damaged by fire.
The Vice President and Madame Herawati in their 15-minute visit at the hospital were briefed by a doctor. The Vice President later entered the hospital which was still empty following the fire on Sunday (July 10).
The hospital was badly damaged, especially the general polyclinics.
In the fire two patients died of a heat attack when being evacuated.
Earlier the Vice President had dedicated the the sixth Maritime Youth and Sports International Festival at Mandalika beach in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and later inspected the 90 pct completed Lombok International Airport, which is scheduled to start operating on October 1, 2011.
