Palembang, South Sumatra (ANTARA News) - The South Sumatra police will give priority to the maintenance of security during the holding of the SEA Games in the province next November, South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Ins. Gen. Dikdik Mulyana Arief said.

Dikdik said here on Tuesday that his side would deploy personnel to guard various SEA Games venues and facilities during the implementation of the Southeast Asian sports events.

The SEA Games will be held in Jakarta and Palembang (South Sumatra) on November 11 - 22, 2011.

He said that the participants of the events would come from various countries so that the police would give a priority scale to security in order to maintain the good name of Indonesia, South Sumatra and Jakarta in particular.
