The four countries were Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and China, Law and Human Rights Minister Patrialis Akbar said after attending a hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR)`s Commission II at the Parliament Building here on Tuesday.
Akbar said his ministry would continue coordinating with all relevant parties to secure Nazaruddin`s repatriation.
"I cannot give more detailed explanation, you had better ask the foreign affairs minister or the police`s investigation chief. It`s better to get explanations from one source," the minister said, adding he was sure that the foreign ministry had more information about Nazaruddin`s whereabouts.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had instructed the law and human rights ministry, the foreign affairs ministry and other relevant government agencies to track down Nazaruddin. To do so, there was no need to form a special team, according to the minister.
So far, the immigration directorate general had been able to establish that Nazaruddin had left Singapore on June 20, 2011 and proceeded to Ho Chi Min (Vietnam) and Guangzou (China).
"That`s all we know, but his last destination is still not known," Minister Patrialis Akbar said.
Patrialis said Nazaruddin, as a member of parliament, was entitled to have an ordinary and a service passport.
"But both (passports) can be revoked," he said.
The law and human rights ministry and other related parties would continue monitoring Nazaruddin`s movements and try to pinpoint his whereabouts, he said.
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Johan Budi said on Tuesday (July 11) Nazaruddin was still on the run.
He made the statement when asked if the former ruling party`s treasurer had been caught after the police claimed they had already located him.
The chief of the National Police`s Criminal Investigation Department, Inspector General Sutarman, had said that the police had already found clues to Nazaruddin`s whereabouts but he would not as yet disclose to the public where the suspect was.
