Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned pawnshop company Perum Pegadaian is preparing 23 buses for its 2011 Lebaran traveling program to serve 1,260 customers who want to celebrate post-fasting festivities in their home towns, the company spokesman said.

Perum Pegadaian Assistant Manager for Social Program, Mat Sani, said here on Tuesday that the lebaran traveling program would be organized to assist customers so that they could return to their home towns without the need to seek for public buses.

"Pegadaian wants to come closer to its customers and to support them so that they can return to their villages," he said.

He said that his company was preparing the buses for routes to eight cities in Indonesia, namely, Malang, Solo, Yoyakarta, Wonogiri, Madiun, Surabaya, Purwokerto and Semarang.

The post-fasting month festivities are expected to take place at the end of next August.
