Samarinda, East Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The Malaysian government has once again deported 90 Indonesian workers (TKIs) through Nunukan port of East Kalimantan, police said.

Nunukan Police chief Adjunct Commissioner Benny Fatur Waluyo said here on Saturday the 90 Indonesian workers arrived at Tunon Taka port in Nunukan at 7 pm on Friday evening.

They arrived at the port aboard KM Francis Ekspress ship. Of the 90 deportees, 63 were men, 18 women and nine were children.

Benny said that they were deported for various violations such as inappropriate travel documents or having no passports.

At present, he said, the 90 deported Indonesian workers are now handled by officials of relevant agencies such as immigration, police, national agency for placement and protection of workers overseas (BP3TKI) and the manpower services.
