Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono attended a consultation meeting with the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the State Palace here on Tuesday.

The annual regular meeting to discuss a joint session between the House of Representatives (DPR) and DPD scheduled for August 16, 2011 to discuss President Yudhoyono`s state-of-the-nation address in the framework of the 66th anniversary of Indonesian independence.

The agenda of the consultation meeting attended by DPD leaders and cabinet ministers also discussed the revision of two laws, namely Law No.32/2004 on regional government and Law No.33/2004 on financial balance between central and regional governments.

Besides, the DPD would also discuss with the government about the national examination and mining work contract which was considered still detrimental to the state.

After attending the consultation meeting with the DPD, President Yudhoyono is also scheduled to chair cabinet plenary session at his office at 2 pm on Tuesday to discuss 2012 state budget and financial note.
