Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono on Thursday afternoon left for Palembang, South Sumatra, for a two-day working visit.

According to the media press bureau and presidential place information, the President and entourage left for Palembang from Halim Perdanakusuma airport by presidential special plane Boeing 737-800.

The plane was scheduled to take off at 11 am.

The president and entourage are slated to arrive at Sultan Mahmud Badarudin II international airport in Palembang at 12.05 and welcomed by South Sumatra Governor Alex Nurdin and a number of ranking local government officials.

Then Yudhoyono and entourage will go to Griya Agung 12 kilometers from the airport by car.

After a brief stop at Griya Agung, the head of state will proceed to Gelora Sriwijaya main sports stadium some 9.4 kilometers away.

The President is scheduled to visit the Jakabaring Sports City in the company of Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng, and inspect the preparations of the venues and facilities of several sport branches to be competed in the SEA Games, including track and field, tennis, Aquatic Center, sports buildings A and B, and the athlete`s dormitory.

On the following day, the president will go to Aryaduta hotel at 8.40 am in the company of Home Minister Gamawan Fauzi.

At the location the Head of State will give instructions and directives in a coordinating meeting of Sumatra governors as the last agenda of the Presidential visit to Palembang.

He was slated to take off to Jakarta at 1 pm.
