Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin together with the joint team of investigators has left Bogota, Colombia, at 6.a.m Western Indonesian time (WIB) and expected to arrive in Indonesia on Saturday afternoon, anti-graft body spokesman said.

"Leaders of the KPK (corruption eradication commission) has just told us that they (Nazaruddin and the joint team) left Bogota in the morning, at about 5 or 6 a.m WIB," KPK Spokesman Johan Budi said here on Friday.

Johan said that the airplane which flew Nazaruddin, who is also a former treasurer of the ruling Democrat Party (PD) would make a stop over in at least two countries before they arrived in Indonesia.

With an estimate length of flight of about 30 to 36 hours from Bogota, it is predicted that Nazaruddin will arrive at between noon and 6 pm on Saturday.

Nazaruddin is being flown to Indonesia aboard a charter plane under the escort of a joint team of police, KPK, ministry of law and human rights and ministry of foreign affairs at a cost of Rp 4 billion.

Nazaruddin, who is also member of Commission VII energy, mineral resources, research and technology affairs of the DPR, is a graft suspect linked to the construction of a SEA Games athlete village in Palembang, South Sumatra.

He fled to Singapore a day before the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked the ministry of justice and human rights to issue a travel ban on him on May 24.

He had been to several countries before he was apprehended with his wife and several other people at 2 am local time in Cartagena, Colombia, on Monday.
