Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Graft suspect M. Nazaruddin said he had forgotten all things relating to statements he had made overseas on alleged corruption in the construction of the Jakabaring athlete`s village in Palembang, South Sumatra.

Nazaruddin made the remarks to reporters after being grilled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the KPK building here on Thursday.

The former ruling Democrat Party (PD) treasurer made a brief statement after the examination by the KPK that he also hoped President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would punish him but his wife and children should not be hurt because they had no relations with the PD.

Nazaruddin acknowledged that he had already forgotten all things relating to the statements he had made during his runaway as a fugitive abroad.

"Don`t disturb my wife and children. I have forgotten all things. I admit I have made mistakes. If need be, I am punished right away, no need to be investigated," he said.

Nazaruddin arrived to the KPK office at 10.25 am for examinations.

On Wednesay, KPK chairman Busyro Muqoddas said Nazaruddin would be questioned on Thursday at 10 am.

Busyro said said that Nazaruddin who was also a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) from the PD, was to be questioned as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the construction of a SEA Games athlete`s village in Palembang, South Sumatra.

In the indictment of former marketing director of PT Anak Negeri Mindo Rosalina Maulang (Rosa) and marketing manager of PT Duta Graha Inda (DGI) Muhammad El Idris, it was mentioned that Nazaruddin was the party who arranged the `fee` to make PT DGI win the tender of the project worth Rp191 billion.

In the special criminal court, the prosecutor mentioned Nazaruddin as the party who received the biggest amount of `fee`, yet in the indictment it was not mention any fund flows to other DPR members or to the PD chairman Anas Urbaningrum who was mentioned by Nazaruddin during his hideouts overseas.
