Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police are processing the Corruption Eradication Commission's (KPK) application for a red notice on the wife of graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin.

"The application is still being processed at the International Relations Division and therefore the red notice has not yet been issued," the head of the National Police's public relations division, Inspector General Anton Bachrul Alam, said here on Friday.

Nazaruddin's wife, Neneng Sri Wahyuni, was named a suspect by the KPK in connection with a bribery case. After her husband was arrested in Cartagena, Colombia, last August 7, she disappeared and her whereabouts until now has remained a mystery.

Regarding the police request for KPK to complete the application with Neneng's finger prints, Anton said "Let me check it first. What is clear is that the application is still being processed."

The police had also produced a red notice in their efforts to catch Nazaruddin who fled just a day before the KPK asked the ministry of law to issue a travel ban for him.

Nazaruddin was flown home from Colombia under tight security and arrived in Jakarta at 7.51pm on August 13. (F001)
